Personality
Grey is very emotionally distant and can come off as cold and callous if approached randomly. Though he is typically more on the apathetic end of the spectrum in his day to day life if unbothered, and can be seen enjoying alcohol or weed at parties or clubs.
He always assumes people want something from him if they decide to approach, and he is usually right about that.
Grey (canonically and preferably, but isn't required) dabbles in the drug dealing and male prostitution trade, thus being the reason he assumes if he is approached, it is for an ulterior motive or business.
Due to a poor childhood life, Grey is very distrusting and paranoid of closeness, putting up any and all walls possible to keep himself from getting hurt. These walls are due to a subconscious insecurity that he isn't even entirely aware that he has, and usually just adheres to being emotionally jaded.
Grey is very convinced that he is not a great person to be with or be around - as he has a blunt natured temper and can be an asshole to most people he interacts with, especially if said person or people burn through his fuse. This causes him to further push any affection or genuine intimacy (that's outside of monetary involvement) away.
On the flip side, Grey does have his own twisted sense of morals. He may be a delinquent and some would say criminal, but he would never stoop to murdering, harming, or sexually assaulting innocent people, especially women or children. If any clients of his are found to do these types of things, he immediately cuts them off and gives them his own sense of justice, whichever way that may be.
When Grey does care for or have a relationship with someone, due to his lack of willingness to let people into his mind and heart, he can often become obsessive and overbearing. All of the emotion that he keeps stored in a bottle in the back of his mind come uncorked and he becomes overwhelmed. He ends up caring too much, becomes extremely protective, and would do essentially anything for the person, even at the dispense of his own happiness and/or well being. This has caused conflicts in the past for him, which is largely another reason why he chooses to remain uninterested in romantic relationships with people.
